These terms are the agreement between you and Overstand for using the app. We've tried to keep them short and plain. By creating an account or using Overstand, you agree to them.
Overstand is operated by Robyn Goldstein, Pfarrhofgasse 2a, 1030 Wien, Austria (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@overstand.app.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 16 (or under the age of legal majority where you live), you may use Overstand only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. Paid subscriptions for minors must be purchased by a parent or guardian.
Keep your login details private — you are responsible for what happens in your account. One account is for one person. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account.
Overstand uses artificial intelligence to create study plans, lessons, quizzes, grading and explanations. AI-generated content can contain mistakes, omissions or outdated information. It is a study aid, not a replacement for your teachers, your official syllabus or your course materials. Please check anything important against reliable sources.
Overstand does not guarantee any exam result or grade. Predictions, scores and readiness indicators are estimates to help you study.
You keep all rights to the materials you upload and the answers and notes you write. You give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to run Overstand for you (for example, to send it to our AI provider to generate your lessons — see the Privacy Policy). Only upload material you are allowed to use for your own studying. If you share a plan using a share link, you allow the people who receive it to view and copy that plan.
Please don’t:
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we’ll warn you first.
The Free plan is free of charge and has the limits shown on the pricing page. Pro is a paid subscription with higher limits. Plan limits exist to keep the service fair and affordable; we apply a reasonable fair-use limit to prevent automated or abusive use.
Pro subscriptions are sold by our reseller and merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment, invoices and VAT. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. If we change the price, we’ll tell you in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal — you can cancel before then. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
We keep improving Overstand, so features may change. If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we’ll let you know in the app or by email at least 30 days in advance. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Overstand and delete your account; Pro users can cancel and, for changes that materially reduce what they paid for, ask for a pro-rata refund.
We aim to keep Overstand running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free — for example during maintenance or when an outside provider fails. We back up data regularly, but please keep your own copies of important materials.
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential obligations, and limited to the damage that was typical and foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
You can stop using Overstand and delete your account at any time. We may end the agreement with reasonable notice, or immediately for serious breaches of these terms. If we close a paid account without it being your fault, we’ll refund the unused part of your subscription.
These terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you can bring claims in your local courts. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at hello@overstand.app — we’d much rather sort it out directly.
